Yes, I AM doing it again...
When I finished in Paris last year, Crawford and Giles and I
said that we would give it another go in 2009.
Promises were made to be fitter and faster, but that certainly
won't be the case for me.
The intention was there, but the after the middle of January
the training slowed down from 'infrequent' to 'not at all'.
But there WAS a great reason for the lack of activity on my
part.
I am going to be a Daddy!
We found out in the middle of January, and Mel quickly became incredibly tired, and it was more
important that I look after her (them!) than go out to the shed to sit on the turbo trainer for an hour or so in the evenings. She was exhausted.
The good news is that we are now 16 weeks pregnant and everything is going well.
Mel's tiredness has gone now, and I have to really get some miles in and some pounds off...
I don't mind though - I've an added incentive in that I know Action Medical Research to do some fantastic and vital work with babies and young children. Please have a click on the logo below to read about some of the work that they do with babies.
I hope to see you in Paris!
Thanks,
Matt
